Journeys of July 1: New Zealand

It's a new month, the start of the last half of the year (what!?). This month has a theme that totally goes with the summertime: travel. Every post this month will feature some country around the world that I want to visit, along with some key things to do whilst there.

I've always been big on traveling and I have been blessed to travel to quite a few countries so far, but the world is a big place. So this month will be a "world tour" of some sorts.

We're going to start off with New Zealand. To get a general layout, since it is an island country:

New Zealand is known for it's scenery.

That's a picture of Fiordland National Park, the largest national park in New Zealand. It has tons of great views and kind of epitomizes the beauty of the country.

For more ocean views, you can drive around the Bay of Islands, kind of like Outer Banks, North Carolina, but prettier.

The spectacular Bay of Islands.

Away from the fresh open air, there is the famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Check out this awesome picture:

There are quite a few famous glaciers there, such as Fox Glacier or Franz Josef glacier. And some strange rocks called Moeraki Boulders:

And for a building...there is the Sky Tower. It is 1,076 feet tall, making it the largest tower in the southern hemisphere. It looks similar to the CN tower.

Let's end with a skyline picture shall we?
