April Aromas 30: Yankee Candle Christmas Eve

We're taking it back to Christmastime. But seriously, this one gets raved about across the board. Pretty much is Christmas in a bottle.

April Aromas 29: Yankee Candle Beach Scents

Ok I kinda had to cheat today, because I was looking through the website and there were so many beach scents! Some I have smelt before, but others were new. Still, a lot of them overlap in scent descriptions, so I thought I'd just share them all with you.

We'll start off with the slightly more unique ones.

Beach Flower has strong floral notes with a hint of an aquatic scent.

Yankee Candle's description:

Like delicate keepsakes from the sea. . . the lovely scent of tuberose, lily and hyacinth blossoms balanced with soft watery notes.


Coastal Water's is more fresher, true water/ocean scent.

Yankee Candle's description: Clean and bracing. . . the rush of cool ocean spray from the breaking surf clears the mind and refreshes the soul.


Golden Sands is a warm beach scent, like at the end of the day when you're at a beach bonfire.

Yankee Candle's description: Your private beach awaits, where time pauses in soft breezes of soothing sandalwood, luminous orange flower and warm tonka beans.


The rest of these scents are all beachy with a hint of fresh citrus and maybe a little bit of floral thrown in there. If I went out to buy some Yankee Candles right now, I don't know how I'd choose between these. They all sound amazing.

Oceanside: A quiet day at the beach . . . the warm, musky scent of calm sea air with touches of citrusy sunshine.

Beach Walk: Refreshing salt water and sea musk warmed with sunny notes of tangerine and orange blossom.

Island Spa: A revitalizing escape . . . the sunny citrus aroma of crisp, juicy mandarins and vibrant lemon verbena.

Pink Sands: It's an exotic island escape in the beautiful mix of bright citrus, sweet florals and spicy vanilla.

Sun & Sand: A tropical beach breeze of sweet orange flower, lemony citrus, fresh lavender and powdery musk.

April Aromas 28: Yankee Candle Midsummer's Night

This scent smells manly, woodsy, and GOOD. I think the official description pretty much says it all. It does smell like cologne, but not overpowering.

Yankee Candle's description:

An intoxicating and masculine blend of musk, patchouli, sage and mahogany cologne.

April Aromas 27: Yankee Candle Midnight Jasmine

Another one of my favorite flower scents? Jasmine. Enough said.

Yankee Candle's description:

A seductively lush perfume of water jasmine, sweet honeysuckle, neroli, and mandarin blossom.

April Aromas 26: Yankee Candle Fresh Cut Roses

Can't mention candles without throwing in some Yankee Candles! Of course, these are much more expensive so I've never owned/burned one. But I've smelled plenty of them.

I love that they have very specific flower scents. One of my favorite flower scents is rose. I love using rose water in homemade masks, and this candle smelled just like that.

April Aromas 25: BBW Villa Bergamot

I usually like perfumes that have bergamot in them, so I think I might like this scent. More so in the fall time, but eh, they're selling it NOW.

BBW description:

April Aromas 24: BBW Tuscan Herbs

So I'm sure most people don't like grassy scents. And normally I don't either, but I do like herbal scents. And grass scents just scream summer to me. (Remind me of mowing the lawn)

April Aromas 23: BBW Sicilian Orange

Citrus is another one of my fave types of scent. Especially in the springtime, when everything is fresh and new. And the floral note makes it seem like this would be really good.

I love the smell of honeysuckle. I'm pretty sure BBW used to sell body wash and lotion in this scent. I've definitely seen it during those crazy sales.

April Aromas 21: Tiki Beach

The epitome of summer. And vacation/relaxation.

April Aromas 20: BBW Spring

The epitome of Spring.

BBW description:

April Aromas 19: BBW First Bloom

Speaking of florals...this is another one that I want because of Youtube. Don't want to jump on the Market Peach bandwagon, but this sounds wonderful.

April Aromas 18: BBW Beach Cabana

We're moving into candles that I would like to buy.

This sounds like another beachy, floral scent. Right up my alley.

April Aromas 17: BBW Peach Bellini

Not going to lie, I bought this one because of Youtube. But I really like the scent. It does smell like a cocktail, but a fruity cocktail, not like straight up alcohol.

A classic Italian cocktail with a twist mixes bubbly white peach, tart blackcurrant, jasmine and a splash of juicy orange. Bottoms up!

April Aromas 16: BBW Oceanside

More aquaticness. Oceanside is more fruity than Poolside, but it has that hint of actual ocean spray scent.

April Aromas 15: BBW Poolside

Speaking of aquatic scents...here's Poolside. This has a slight sunscreen-y scent along with some florals and smells just like summer.

April Aromas 14: BBW Seaside Escape

I thought I would like this one because I love aquatic scents, but actually it comes off very fruity, as indicated by the notes. I still like it, it's just not what I was expecting.

April Aromas 13: BBW Caribbean Salsa

I don't understand the salsa part...there is no spicy scent. But this scent relaxes me and makes me feel like I'm on the beach.

April Aromas 12: BBW Tropical Spice

This scent does come off very sweet and cinnamon like. Reminds me of Fireball whiskey.

April Aromas 11: BBW Fresh Bamboo

Onto more springtime scents...this one is fresh and floral/woodsy.

April Aromas 10: Mainstays Cookie Crunch

Even though I don't like smelling like food myself, I love if the house smells like it. And I can't get enough of these warm vanilla scents. This candle smells like vanilla sugar cookies, fresh out of the oven. SO GOOD.

Sorry, I couldn't find an official description, and the bottom of the candle is not being helpful.

April Aromas 9: BBW Pumpkin Cupcake

I've heard that fans of the original Frosted Cupcake will love this one, because it smells almost the same, with a hint of a spicier note.

BBW description:

April Aromas 8: BBW Deck the Halls

I love Christmas-y scents, and this one smelled delicious in the jar.

April Aromas 7: BBW Spiced Apple Toddy

When I went to BBW during the holiday season, this candle was burning and it was SO strong. And it smelled so sweet and delicious. This year, when fall rolls around, I definitely want to get it.

April Aromas 6: BBW Cranberry Pear Bellini

A bubbly and delicious blend of sparkling cranberry, sweet pear nectar and luscious blackcurrant

It smells quite tart with a hint of sweetness, which is what you would expect. Great for springtime.

April Aromas 5: BBW Winter Night

Fir tree, warm Cyprus and clove bud blended with cedar and a touch of incense.

This candle smells very woodsy, but I think the incense scent is the strongest when I burn it.

April Aromas 4: BBW Leaves

This is probably the most talked about BBW candle on YouTube, especially when fall comes around. And with good reason. It smells sweet and fresh and warm.

April Aromas 3: BBW Eucalyptus Mint

This is just a very clean, fresh scent. Great for anytime of the year, but especially springtime.

April Aromas 2: BBW Mahogany Teakwood

This is the one that every girl on Youtube was raving about because it smells like the inside of an Abercrombie store. And I agree. It has a very strong, cologne type scent, a woodsy smell that you would associate with a manly man.

April Aromas 1: BBW Frosted Cupcake

Welcome to April Aromas! Every day, a new candle scent. I'm going to start off with all the candles I own, or have owned in the past, and then move on to ones I'd like to buy in the future.

So today, my first ever BBW candle: Frosted Cupcake.

Description from BBW website:

It's pretty much straight on. It smells distinctly like cupcakes, not actual cake and it really does make my mouth water.
